Long Time No See...

WOW...I go home for a week and I totally forget to BLOG...

So, here is a brief outline....

I came home with this cute little bag...that I have kindly named "Shadow" and quickly pinned a "GO RED" dress on him.These are "Shadows" gutts and why I get to be out of the hospital...the neat heart med is on a continual flow PICC line.

Shadow and my dear friend, Kayleen ie: chauffeur ...lunch buddy and partner in crime and all round good friend, ran TONS of errands and laughed...and cried together...

BUT ...Shadow has a new friend hanging out with him...

I HAVE MY TRANSPLANT PAGER!!!!!

I KNOW CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!!!!

rules did come with "the pager"...

I have had to leave my home because Burley is outside the 2 hour radius of the transplant hospital...

I now live in... Utah.

at my brother, Ro and his families home.(this is before the yard was put in ) I am good...

I am happy...

and I am grateful...

SPT-A Room With A View

I am so glad that Lelly has started her SPT (SELF PORTRAIT TUESDAY) again


After reading my sister, Lene's I was ready to go crawl back in bed...

But...This is MY SPT though I am not in it...
This is the view from my room, behind that storm are the beautiful Wasatch Mountains (remember them from the SLC Olympics)
I am told I will leaving this afternoon...after the IV people come to teach me how to take care of my PICC line at noon...OH WAIT it is almost 4PM...
Hey, at least I have a nice view.

It Is All Good

This is my new hardware is called an Arterial Line..it really is pretty impressive. The IV is inserted at the wrist, the little unit by my elbow is for flushing and cleaning. As I understand it it runs through the artery. It has what looks like the end of a phone cord and can be plugged into the monitoring machine to watch my blood pressure. Did it hurt to have put in place?

Well, it didn't hurt me. They numbed the area and I had some sleep-aids during the night.

So, really when I woke up it was already in place...

around 1:30, Nov. 18th

I was taken to the cath. lab

I am not sure what time I woke up but the new placer is in place. Really you can not tell any difference in the look from prior to the surgery.

They cut the old scar out...and plugged the new one in...ran all the tests and...

it all went great!

So, other than the PICC line on my right arm, the IV tube on my left arm along with the Arterial Line. I look great...doing paces around the hospital.

and as soon as my blood is to the thickness they want... these crazy lines will be taken out and

I will be out of here.

Modern Medicine...AMAZING
