Good Ol' Days

It seems as if it has been forever since we had a line of cars parked in front of our house.

Kira decided that she needed to have a casual "back yard" party...

It was so much fun to see this group of friends hanging out again

and Josh...Oh my goodness it was good to hear him laugh and be silly...

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!I am going to relate a story that my mom told me...and I am not sure how accurate I am in telling it...but you will get the jest of the story.

When my mom was young and growing up in Texas her family was very poor. They were living under a train trestle at the time. An Armadillo wondering in and she remembered chasing it until they had caught it and fixed it for dinner.

She kept an small ceramic armadillo in her house to remind her of where she had been in life.

Last year for Christmas, I sent each of my siblings a "Beasties" Armadillo ...

It is just a simple reminder to us of the amazing mom we were blessed with. Mother's day have been difficult for me after my mom passed away... But, a couple of years ago...I realized that I was a mom and if I was being sad and grumpy on Mother's Day what kind of memory was that for my children that wanted to make the day special for me?

So...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL OF US!

Reku

I was asked how Reku, Itsey's Puppy is doing...He weighed 3 oz. when he was born on April 16, 2009

He is a happy puppy and loves hanging out in his basket with his mommy.

Today, he weighs exactly 1 pound @ 3 weeks!!!

Itsey only weighed 12 oz @ 8 weeks!

You have got to love that face!

This Is How You Know I Am Not Part Of The "IN" Crowd...

I just recently watched the DVD of TWILIGHT!!!

I do not read much because Dyslexia is my friend. I hate movie theaters because I can't get up and get another pop or more popcorn if I want...and I do not like being around strangers..especially if I have to set right next to them!

So, I now feel like I am part of the IN crowd...how much longer until the next book is on DVD???

Temple Buddy

I love going to the temple...

But I have to say I LOVE HAVING A TEMPLE BUDDY!

Where Kira is on "vacation" after working for 18 months we go to the temple at least once a week. There is nothing like setting in a session and feeling your daughters hand on yours.I know I have been blessed...I know that heavenly Father gave me these three great gifts that I have in my life.

I can hardly wait for in a year, Kirk and I will be able to go to the temple with ALL of our children.

I know that each of us have agency to choose the life we want to live...I am grateful that my family is eternal.
