Made Me Smile

3 years ago I was spending my last night in Argentina.
If you were not following me then, you are welcome to ready about our stay at the Hostel.
(guaranteed to give you a smile)
Kirk and I had pushed two twin beds together.
I was coming to the end of an amazing adventure.

This morning when I checked out of my hotel room, I couldn't help but smile.
A BIG bed all to myself.
a BIG room with no strangers sharing it with me.
Quiet...
But, not near the adventure.

Yep, still smiling.
I have been a really lucky lady!

Happy Anniversary to K y S

We were in Buenos Aries, Argentina
Kira and Sergio were being married for time and all eternity
in the Buenos Aries LDS Temple.

It was a crazy day...
To read the "long story" visit Kira's Blog.

Kira has always said she doesn't have any "real" wedding pictures
and in a way she is right.
But, there are some great candid shots even if the wind was blowing like crazy,
we had just off a 14+ hour bus ride,
taxi drivers not knowing where the temple was
and arriving late...
BUT
I think Kira is a BEAUTIFUL bride and Sergio is a HANDSOME groom.

It was really nice that part of Sergio's family could be there
and that Kirk was able to come to Argentina too.

On the bus ride after the temple was so funny.
I think people thought they were models or something because they were taking pictures of them!! FUNNY

Congrats...
and many more amazing, crazy, miraculous years to you.

Flight Aware

Have you heard of ...
http://flightaware.com/

I LOVE THIS SITE
You can track any flight in the world in real time!
I was able to see where Kira was while she was in the air from SLC, Utah to Altanta
and then on to Beunos Aries.
It is really pretty cool!
They left SLC at 2:00 pm (MST) on Tuesday the 9th

and arrived in B.A. at 8:00am today Wednesday the 10th.
I know they were planning on boarding the bus at 4:00pm for the 15 hour ride to Tucuman.
No... I can't track the bus ride :O)
Kira said Miss H slept the intire  flight to Argentina.
I hope she is as good on the bus ride.

I am so excited for Sergio's family to meet their newest member.
I know her abuela (grandma), abuelo (grandpa)  and tia (aunt) can hardly wait!
Miss H is going to be one loved on little girl!

Pretty Darn Quiet

It is WONDERFUL to be home
BUT
My house seems to be a  freaky kind of quiet.
Where I am still not feeling a 100% Miss C is spending this week with one of her other Grandmas.
I miss her so much,
but am so grateful that she has a large family who loves her and take good care of her
while her mommy is at work.
Kira, Sergio and Miss H left for Argentina yesterday.
It was horrible not being able to go to the airport to see them off, but they did stop by the hospital to say bye before they left.
I just wish I had the energy to get some things done today
but a little at a time...right.

More Pictures

are you about sick of my vacation "slide show"?
Here are just a few more places I got to see...foothills of the Andes Mountains Jujuy (Pronounced Hoo-Hoo-E)

Providence of Salta
amazing river beds
I wish you could see this better...
the middle of the hill has ancient steps that were made to go to the top
"The Toad" is of sandstone..it is quickly melting away, due to the wind and rain
unbelievable hills (yes, in Argentina these are hills)

jungle greenery that I have never even imagined
colors to many to explain
to "Mother Earth" I may have to do a blog about "Pachamama"
looks like Arizona!
Who would have ever thought I would be standing here!

bottle brush flowers all over San Miguel
and art work of every kind
This picture is taken half way up the staircase
AMAZING, AMAZING!

I Never Said It Would Be Easy...

but I would never trade these memories...

I have been blessed beyond words for the opportunity to visit Argentina.

I know Kira is where she is supose to be and with whom she is to spend eternity with. I am humbled to be part of this miracle.

I love you Sunshine... I will see you soon!
