Santa's Visit and Ugly Sweaters

It was pretty fun when Santa showed up tonight when we were playing Christmas Bingo and comparing our "creative" Christmas shirts.
At first the girls were not real sure that they liked the idea of Santa walking in the front door.
But, as soon as the candy came out of the bag they were best friends!

Even little Evie was happy to set on Santa's lap.

He came with treats for all that would set on his lap.
Kira got coal...though I think Josh should have for being the photo bomber of the evening!

These two little girls are growing up so fast.
I still love how they love each other.

We decided every one was to come in an  "Ugly Shirt/Sweater.
I will admit I was pretty impressed!
Kira and Sergio both did their own.

Josh and I compared to see who we thought was the "most" creative.
Mine was to look like a Christmas Tree when I put my arms up....
But as you can see I need to do a little work on balancing the top of the tree with the garland.

Josh's was pretty stinking cute for an UGLY Shirt.
It is hard to tell in these pictures, but he has reindeer on his shirt (it is 3D) and it is throwing up
Christmas stuff.
I said, I was just glad it was his head on the sweater and not the "other end".

Santa even came with a treat for Derek

YEP everyone that would set down for a have you been naughty or nice chat with the dear man in the red suit.

Thanks Ali for inviting Santa tonight.
You are a pretty lucky lady to have those type of connections!!

It sure helped with getting everyone excited for the next few days.

Look Who Is 2

Miss C !

Our sweet little grand daughter a few hours after she was born.

Celes' birth was my first time "sneaking" home after my heart transplant, but I was not going to miss the birth of my first grand baby. What an amazing experience.

This was last year celebrating her 1st birthday

A year later her facial expressions are the same and still just make you smile.

Miss C is a total ELMO fan.
Her mom went all out on having an Sesame Street party.
Check out the spread of yummy finger foods.

a Grouch and Elmo relish trays
The food and cake were so yummy.

With all the food and gifts...
Miss C was happiest with her books
and setting in her daddy's lap having them
read to her.
Happy Birthday Miss C.
Te Quiro
I Love You!

How Does She Do That?

The bigger Miss Celes gets the harder it is for me to get her to hold still to do her hair.
Her Grandma Keri has been watching her while I have been sick.
When Josh came over the other night...my first thought was who is that BIG girl in his arms and second...
HOW DID KERI GET HER TO HOLD STILL LONG ENOUGH TO DO HER HAIR LIKE THAT?
I came home with a few new toys and so I couldn't get her to come stand still to take a picture

UNLESS it was to eat some of my spaghetti and baguette.
Got to love a baby with a full tummy and smiley food covered face.

Pretty Darn Quiet

It is WONDERFUL to be home
BUT
My house seems to be a  freaky kind of quiet.
Where I am still not feeling a 100% Miss C is spending this week with one of her other Grandmas.
I miss her so much,
but am so grateful that she has a large family who loves her and take good care of her
while her mommy is at work.
Kira, Sergio and Miss H left for Argentina yesterday.
It was horrible not being able to go to the airport to see them off, but they did stop by the hospital to say bye before they left.
I just wish I had the energy to get some things done today
but a little at a time...right.

Aunt or Tia

My granddaughters are pretty lucky to have 'Lene as their Aunt or Tia.

the most beautiful sister ever

Last week I get a text message asking what size the girl's are.
and a couple of days later these cute outfits arrived in the mail.
I was glad she "couldn't resist"
because I think they both look so darn cute in the little dresses.
Miss C is growing up and it is so cute...she is getting where she wants to give "loves"
I am so excited to watch these two girls grow up together.
Miss H will see Miss C when she gets here in the morning and her little face just lights up.
and
"C" has been saying "Haz-elle" for at least a month.
I can see two cousins being as close as sisters.
and so darn cute!

One Year Ago...

I did this...
Yep that is 2 miles.
Kira always kept my boards decorated.
A year later...
I am doing this...
being a grandma. I am not sure how many miles I do during the day,
but I know I feel like it is A LOT of chasing walking!!!

Beautiful Babies and Easter Dresses

I had to show off my granddaughters Easter dresses...
Miss Celes is thinking she needs to try walking,  I just push her down when she tries  I can't believe it.
I played with this picture in Paint because I thought it was so cute.
Her "Nana" and Mommy made her Easter dress. Isn't it just cute!
Josh and Ali sent these pictures of their Easter day.
Here is Miss C "walking" between her daddy and momma
Miss Hazel is getting big also.
When Kira ordered her dress from MilnerCity
I thought oh that will be way to big for her...
but Kira had a better idea of what size Miss H would wear than I do, because
as you can see it fits perfect.
she even was "talking" while taking pictures.
and the Rivadeneira family Easter picture
Yep, I think my little grand babies look beautiful.

Grandpa and Grandma Heaven

Kirk is an AWESOME grandpa.
Celes just loves him and Hazel is starting to realize that he is pretty OK too.
Kirk was mowing the lawn and Celes could see him out of the window, Ali took her down to see
grandpa... She got to ride on the mower with him...
I really need to go through my old pictures and find the ones of when my kids were little.
I am pretty sure I will be able to find one of each of my little babies riding on the mower with their daddy.
It might even be the same mower...heeheheee yes, I know it is time for a new one.

***************************************************************************************
and thanks to Kira
there is even a picture of Celes and I having a moment together...
even though neither one of us knew it.
We were both sound asleep.
BUT, I love this picture.
almost as much as I love being a grandma.
