I Being Born of Goodly Parents...

Maybe one of my favorite stories found in the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Christ it is about Helaman and the 2000 stripling warriors, and found in the book of Alma Chapter 56 verse 47-48~

"Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them. And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers , saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it"Parson, Del (born 1948, Utah)

President Thomas S. Monson said, " Being a mother has never been an easy role. Some of the oldest writings in the world admonish us not to forsake the law of our mother's instructing us "that a floolish son is the heaviness of his mother"and "warn us not to ignore out mother when she is old" (Proverbs 1:8, 10:1, 23:22) "The scriptures also remind us that what we learn from our mothers comprises our very core value."
This past week has been so amazing for me, as a mother.
I love my children and the adults that they are becoming.
Today, Derek reported his mission at our church building (ward) in Burley.
Though I could not be there in person, they set up a system so I could listen to it over the phone...Tears came to my eyes as he started his talk and said, " First, I want to say, " I love my mother".
I feel blessed to hear "Happy Mother's Day"

I am so glad I got to share that day with you. I know I was a poor stand-in for the rest of your family.
