Sacred Ground

If you have followed my blog for anytime you might know of my obsession for cemeteries.
I love the SLC cemetery it is truly sacred ground
I love seeing the resting places of the different Latter-day Prophets.

President Spencer W. Kimball's with the petrified wood.

President J. Reuben Clark (I didn't know his first name was Joshua) The Christmas Box Angel monument
and some headstones I could not read
Elder Ballard who dedicated South America for the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ.Willford Woodruffand Porter Rockwell
Pres Gordon B. Hinckley and his wife Marjorie Pay Hinckley
Pres. David O. McKay
We also visited the Pioneer Cemetery where
the 2nd Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints
Brigham Young is buried.

What a wonderful day to spend on such Sacred Ground.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. It was very interesting to me to see the headstones of those prophets. I don't know that I would've ever thought to visit them, so thank you. We missed you at the family reunion! I was hoping you were going to come for a day.

So awesome. That got me misty eyed!
I lived in SLC for 5 years and never even knew about that cemetary. I went to "This is the place" monument and the Beehive House, etc. but it would have been cool to see this. I'll have to go if I get to Utah again!

Thanks!
