to the dinner show.

Stu blog: The recipe for Milky Way Cake

Do you know who Stu is?
He is on the radio with Glen Beck.
Glen is always talking about this cake...
and today it was posted so...Yes I am coping it from Glen's website.

For all of eternity, man has dreamed of a way to fuse the caramelly yumminess of Milky Way bars, and the moist deliciousness of cake.  Though science has tried and tried, it has failed and failed…until now.
So, I present the full recipe for Milky Way Cake.  Yes, this is it.  Live, love, laugh, eat, and fall asleep in the hallway before you can get to your bedroom because you just ingested 45,000 calories in 4 minutes.

Milky Way Cake

1 box yellow cake mix
1 stick unsalted butter
6 regular sized Milk Way candy bars [cut into 1 inch pieces]
melt the butter and candy bars together in microwave, stirring occasionally.  Mix well.  Prepare the cake mix as directed.  Stir in Milk Way mixture.  Bake as directed in a bundt pan.
ENJOY!
This is one of the comments left on his blog:
My friend from Mississippi gave me a recipe for MW cake back in the 60's. We used a chocolate cake mix and 8-5 cent Milky Ways. Also the icing was made with two Milky Ways and a tiny bit of milk to make it smooth to spread over the cooled cake. Yummy. Full of so many delicious, decadent, calories, it makes me want two cakes! I'm going to try your recipe, too. Tawanda from Indiana

FYI

As we progress through the year 2011,

I want to thank all of you for your educational e-mails
and blogs over the past year.
I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

I can not open the bathroom door without using a paper towel, or can I have the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.
I can not set down on a hotel bed because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.
I have trouble shaking hands with someone who has been driving because the number one pastime while driving alone is picking one's nose..
Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.
I can't touch any woman's purse for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public restroom.
I MUST SEND MY SPECIAL THANKS to whoever sent me the one about rat poop in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.
ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.
I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl (Penny Brown) who is about to die for the 1,387,258th time.
I no longer have any money but that will change once I receive the $15,000 that Bill Gates/Microsoft and AOL are sending me for participating in their special e-mail program.
I no longer worry about my soul because I have 363,214 angels looking out for me, and St. Theresa's Novena has granted my every wish.
I can't have a drink in a bar because I'll wake up in a bathtub full of ice with my kidneys gone.
I can't eat at KFC because their chickens are actually horrible mutant freaks with no eyes, feet or feathers.
I can't use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.
THANKS TO YOU I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.
I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
I no longer buy gas without taking someone along to watch the car so a serial killer doesn't crawl in my back seat when I'm filling up.
I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer.
I can't boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face. Disfiguring me for life.
I no longer go to the movies because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.
I no longer go to shopping malls because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.
I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica , Uganda , Singapore , and Uzbekistan .
I no longer buy cookies from Woolies since I now have their recipe.
I can't use anyone's toilet but mine because a big black snake could be lurking under the seat and cause me instant death when it bites my butt.
AND THANKS TO YOUR GREAT ADVICE I can't ever pick up $2.00 coin dropped in the parking lot because it probably was placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.
I can't do any gardening because I'm afraid I'll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.
I now keep my toothbrush in the living room, because I was told by e-mail that water splashes over 6 ft. out of the toilet.

AND If you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the fleas from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor's ex-mother-in-law's second husband's cousin's best friend's beautician .
P. S.:
NOW YOU ALL HAVE YOURSELVES A WONDERFUL DAY
thanks to a friend who sent me this email...I do not know who wrote it...if I did I would give them credit...

Showers and Amazing People

About a month ago my dear friend Karen asked if she could have a baby shower for Kira.
I believe everyone had a wonderful time.
Kira and I were overwhelmed by everyone who came to celebrate with Kira.
The amount of gifts that she received was unbelievable.
There were games and FOOD...which I can not believe I did not take a picture of the table of food.
I am going to BEG Karen for her pasta salad recipe and the deserts OH MY GOODNESS, so very good.
Kira was really happy to see her aunts and cousins. Pam and Angel live in Burley.
Calynn, Pennie, Brooky, and Melissa made a quick trip from Idaho Falls.
Many of the ladies had been teachers and leaders of Kira in church.
This beautiful framed saying is from her good friend Kara, who also made a quick trip from Pocci.
Ali's mom, Valerie made a beautiful quilt.
My goodness if I could remember all the things and who gave them.
The afternoon was unbelievable.

On Tuesday, January 18th
Sergio told Kira that he needed to go to the church for a bit and wanted her to go with him.
SURPRISE!!!!!!!!
The sister's of the Spanish Branch had a surprise baby shower for Kira.
again so many amazing gifts.
What sweet Sisters they have been to Kira.
They had tons of food too.
Kira came home with the darling cake that Sister Allen had made.
The little lamb is made of Chocolate!
also the corsage....which she makes each peddle from a "rubber" mixture.
What special days!

Cold Quick Trip

I had a regular check up today with my transplant team in Utah.
I had to leave home before 7am for my 10am appointment.
The temp was pretty chilly outside...
I knew when it had taken me over 1.5 hours and I was still not to the Utah border it was going to be a long trip.
Between ice on the roads and fog...my 75 mph trip was crawling at about 35 mph...uuuggghhh.
I called the Dr's office to let them know I would be a little late...
they were so cool...no really...
they said to be careful and if the roads were to bad to turn around and they would fit me in later in the week.
Thank goodness SLC was having a heat wave.

and the roads home were perfect!
The appointment went really well.
My little heart is doing Awesome.
I do not have to go back until the end of January!

Have You Heard of Bountiful Baskets?

I LOVE
This was my order for Jan. 8th
Conventional Produce Basket $15 Contribution
statement found on Bountiful Baskets
50% fruit, 50% vegetables, 100% healthy, delicious & fun
In the conventional basket we focus our buying as follows: High Quality, Low Cost and As Local as Possible… So, how hard do we try? Pretty hard! Most bananas are from Central America or the Caribbean and are grown by a couple gargantuan conglomerate growers. We get all of our bananas from small farmers in central Mexico. This saves the co-op between $4 and $7 a box, keeps money with small farmers, and helps keep the carbon footprint small.
Together We are Changing the World One Dinner Table at a Time
I have never got anything from them which has not been REALLY GOOD.
and for $15.00 you can not beat the price. (at least not in Burley, Idaho)
Look at those tomatoes and cucumbers!!!
Oh my goodness the Pineapple and Bananas ...HEAVEN! Everything is so good!!!
I know that they only do deliveries in the Western USA,
though they do not deliver to California.
I would recommend them highly.
