Not A Morning Person

I really am not a morning person, maybe because I stay up LATE, but after seeing this I might have to become one. 7:30am MST

Isn't that AMAZING. I am always in awe of sunsets, they make me feel a special peace, but this was beyond beauty. Our Father in Heaven sure has an eye for color.

Our list of top 100 things about me #28 is this weeks SPT from Lelly. Mine is my youngest son is in Indiana.

Derek is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission.

His Mission boarders along Ohio where Josh served. It is hard to believe that Derek has already been gone

6 months.

Derek is a total kick, he is outgoing and VERY strong willed. He has a temper, but as

I always say...the Heart of a Lion.

I miss his hugs and the way he says,

"Mommy, I love you".

I am very proud of his choice to serve a mission. He truly understood why it was important for him to do so...if you ask him it was because of Obedience...and that is it plain and simple...

Chewy = A Good Night Sleep

My husband told me last night that he kept having dreams about Chewy from Star Wars. He kept "hearing" him in his dreams. As he was waking up he rolled over to....

Yep...I was the sound he was hearing...but at least I was getting a good nights sleep!

Josh has a great group of people he has started to do stuff with and I have to say I am LOVING seeing the side of him, we always see at home, NOW being shared with other people. He is so darn funny and loves to just set and laugh. I swear he can quote all of Princess Bride and pretty much any of the "Office" tv show. He takes his responsibilities seriously and is a real gentleman

And now I see he is turning GQ on us too!

I guess I should not be surprised when I ask him how his day was...this is the answer I get...

Pumpkin Art

When you have a BILLION pumpkins only so many get taken off your hands, by who ever you can get to take them, what do you do with the rest?

I am hoping...

I am struggling.

I am not a crier, yet that is all I want to do.

If I am awake I find myself close to tears.

I find myself not wanting to get dressed.

I find myself alone, though I am not...

I find myself not wanting to do what I usually enjoy.
I find myself awake at 3am not being able to sleep.

I find myself confused.

I don't like change, right now I feel a change that is tugging on me.

Is it the seasons? Is it the worry of a child not happy?

Is it normal?

Will this too pass like the clouds?

"Nesting"

Itsey, my Chihuahua, is going to have puppies or more likely a pup. She has begun what the breader calls the "nesting stage". She has gathered 4 of her favorite "little toys" and has them tucked neatly into her basket. If you try to touch them she gets very upset. She even tried to nip at me! She spends all of her time in her basket unless she needs to go out side for a potty break.

I was married in my parents back yard.

I believe this is a repeat of last weeks SPT. It is fun to look at the picture of Lene, Bonnie, Karen, Janys, myself, Kirk, Chris, Danny and Monte and to be grateful that I know where all but one of these friends are at 27 years later. I am lucky to have lived in such pretty places.

The Garden Has Been Put Away

Ro and I gathered the pumpkins so that the pumpkin patch can be tilled up today.
It really is a sad feeling to see all the fresh produce gone from the garden, and just dark dirt waiting for next Spring.

Weekend Company

My brother Ro and his girls came and spent the weekend with us. Ro is a total "hands on" kind of dad. His kids LOVE to cook and bake. "C" the youngest favorite channel on TV, the cooking network...yea she even hums the songs of all the shows. I LOVE IT

Our daughter Kira is serving in Argentina, and we hear from her via a Monday email.Today, I got a letter! I think MAYBE she is getting excited to come home too.

She says she is getting nervous about coming home. I am sure she is!
