This afternoon when the snow and wind stopped in my backyard was this BIG and Beautiful Malard Duck. I wish the picture would do him justice, his head was so green and pretty. I took the picture from my balcony because I didn't want to scare him off.
He was still out there when it got dark tonight. I am hoping that he is gone in the morning.
UPDATE: Sorry, he didn't make it through the night

Oh! This makes me so sad! Give us an update first thing....
Oh. That really is sad. :(
The poor thing...is he stuck out there? Is that on the river?
That is really sad.
I hope the dumb dogs in your neighborhood don't discover him.
Oh Janiece ~ that's horrible. Was he stuck in the ice?
Hugz,

Okay,
So, I'm feeling for the duck;
the cold and the animals in the neighborhood....
SOOOOOOO....Do your good deed for the day and go outside and help him out.
You'll be glad you did and so will he and his family...
The little ones could be missing their father...
Love ya
Wow, super sad. Poor thing.....
Ohhhhh, that is so sad. I once saw a duck that had been hit on a street in Salt Lake. He was still alive, but really suffering, and by the time I parked my car and ran out there to get him out of the stinkin' street, he was gone. I hate when animals suffer.
